Metabolic syndrome is a silent, but extremely life-threatening condition that can lead to: heart disease, a heart attack or stroke, diabetes, circulatory problems, and kidney disease. All of which can have extremely serious complications. |
Diabetes and other disorders of the endocrinology system (several glads that produce hormones that regulate many bodily functions) are serious conditions that can lead to significant complications if left untreated, but with proper education and management, people with diabetes and other related disorders can lead long, healthy lives.
At Sky Ridge Medical Center, our board-certified endocrinologists (doctors who are trained in evaluating and managing hormone disorders) help patients manage their conditions by keeping their hormones in balance.
