Childbirth Preparation - 4 Week Course
The birth of your child is a special time. This class will give you the knowledge to prepare for the choices you'll make during your childbirth experience. You and your partner will learn and practice:
- Life skills such as relaxation
- Effective breathing
- Massage
- Positioning
- Stress management & coping skills
Other subjects include the joys and challenges of pregnancy, labor and how it progresses, medical procedures and interventions, pain management and Cesarean birth. The class will also help you prepare for the postpartum time and getting to know your new baby. You will receive an informative guide addressing these topics. A tour of the Birth Place is included.
What to Bring
Please wear comfortable clothes and bring two pillows and a small blanket.
