Wound Care at Sky Ridge Medical Center
A Safe, Compassionate Approach to Wound Treatment
For many Americans, the aging process, diabetes, poor circulation and other conditions lead to chronic, non-healing wounds. In some cases, these wounds can take weeks, months or even years to fully heal, dramatically affecting the quality of one’s life.
Sky Ridge Medical Center opened a Wound Care Center to meet the special needs of people suffering the debilitating effects of non-healing wounds. Our mission is to manage and heal chronic wounds that have not responded to conventional treatment in a timely and cost effective manner. We offer advanced treatments that heal wounds and help our patients return to enjoying life.
Types of Wounds We Treat
If you suffer from chronic wounds that have not responded to conventional treatment, then the Wound Care Center at Sky Ridge might be an appropriate option. We provide a thorough assessment to identify the underlying disease factors and develop an accompanying care plan for a variety of wounds such as:
- Chronic wounds, including diabetic ulcers, peripheral vascular ulcers, venous ulcers, arterial insufficiency ulcers and “pressure” or decubitus ulcers
- Non-healing, post-surgical and traumatic wounds
- Burn wounds
- Charcot foot and total contact casting
