The Sky Ridge Advanced Wound Care Center
A Safe, Compassionate Approach to Wound Treatment
Wound healing is a complex process, and must be followed closely. When healing is disrupted, specialized intervention is often necessary. Our Advanced Wound Care program takes an intensive, multi-disciplinary approach to focus on healing wounds as rapidly as possible while treating the underlying causes that compromise the healing process.
A surprising number of people require wound care at some point in their lives. In addition, a large percent of patients with diabetes have chronic, non-healing wounds. Many other conditions can also contribute to non-healing wounds, such as peripheral vascular disease, arterial or venous ulcers, traumatic injury, radiation therapy, lymphedema and complications following surgery.
Types of Wounds We Treat
If you suffer from chronic wounds that have not responded to conventional treatment, then the Advanced Wound Care Center at Sky Ridge might be an appropriate option. We provide a thorough assessment to identify the underlying disease factors and develop an accompanying care plan for a variety of wounds such as:
- Chronic wounds, including diabetic ulcers, peripheral vascular ulcers, venous ulcers, arterial insufficiency ulcers and “pressure” or decubitus ulcers
- Non-healing, post-surgical and traumatic wounds
- Burn wounds
- Charcot foot and total contact casting
- Skin ulcers
