Cardiac Catheterization Lab
State-of-the-Art Heart Care in Our Cath Lab
A patient that is having chest pain or other possible heart-related symptoms may visit our Cath Lab. This state-of-the-art, digital imaging machine is used to view vessels in the heart to detect blockages. Sky Ridge Medical Center has two Interventional Catheterization Labs.
If a blockage is discovered, an angioplasty (inserting a balloon-tipped catheter to unblock it) or stent procedure (the insertion of a stent to keep the blood vessel open) will be performed.
