MRI Virtual Tour
What is it? An MRI uses a magnetic field and radio waves to image a patient's body. MRIs are often used as part of abdomen, blood vessel, brain, joints or spine exams to locate possible tumors as well as spine and joint problems.
The Technology — Our TwinSpeed 1.5T MR offers exceptional scanning capability for both whole body and advanced applications in a single MR System.
The system incorporates important comfort features designed to put patients at ease. That's why in designing the TwinSpeed, GE paid particular attention to two crucial areas of patient comfort: noise and diameter. The result of GE's Quiet Technology is an overall noise reduction of 40% and a generous 60 cm bore diameter.
The TwinSpeed's Zoom Mode also makes it possible to perform advanced MR procedures simply by selecting the appropriate protocol. With 40 cm axial coverage, the Zoom Mode is ideal for head, spine, abdominal, cardiac and spectroscopy studies. Whole Body Mode delivers a 48 cm field of view for routine whole-body scanning.
